Next came demolition of a second floor pedestrian bridge that crossed over the campus quad. Right through the solid cement wall like well like steel ripping through concrete it went, cutting the first opening in a building that has stood windowless for 30 years. Sure enough, we found out the next day that these guys meant business when they fired that monster up. There it was, a massive saw mounted to a solid cement wall, blade tip poised 90 degrees to the surface.at the time, we didn t know, but that bizarre wall sculpture was a sign from above telling us to find somewhere else to be for the rest of the summer if we knew what was good for us. They showed up one morning and bolted a four-foot diameter, diamond blade rotary saw 30 feet up on College Center.
